Winlink is a set of programs for sending email over amateur radio. Originally conceived to support long-distance sailors, it has evolved into a tool for emergency and disaster communications worldwide and supported disaster response for hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, and other major events.

York Region Amateur Radio Club has recently been holding a Winlink "Net" to help our members and others practice their communications skills with this very extensively supported tool. If you'd like to find out more, contact our emergency communications director, Mike VA3MCT.
